The “Happiness” hitmaker’s first album – which will be released early next year – will not feature tracks in only one genre, and will reflect her own eclectic music tastes.

Speaking at the switching on of the Regent Street Christmas lights in London, she told BANG Showbiz: “I’m very excited! My album is out early next year and it’s going to be very universal. It’s not just a pop dance record. It has a little reggae, a little hip-hop swag, so it’s going to be everything.”

TEENAGE chart star Alexis Jordan reckons failing to win America’s Got Talent was the best thing that could have happened to her, because it led to a record deal with Jay-Z.

Alexis was only 14 when she entered the US version of Britain’s Got Talent.

She reached the semi-finals before losing out on the mill ion-dollar prize to the eventual wi nner, 11-year old Bianca Ryan.
